DescriptionThis portion of the crown and the two horns of a cow skull is decorated with red pigment and some traces of black. Red covers much of the horns, plus a line across apex of the remaining crown, while dots cover surrounding area.
ProvenanceSaid to be from Khizam (near Luxor). 1903: purchased for the MFA from Mohamed Mohassib, Luxor, Egypt by Albert M. Lythgoe as part of a group (03.1956, 03.1957, 03.1960, RES.03.8-RES.03.10) for £3.
