DescriptionThis wooden statuette has the shape and proportions similar to shawabty figurines. Carving is somewhat rough, and it caries a coating of bitumen (now black). The figure is mummiform with little modelled detail. It is in battered and worn condition. Part of the left side has split off. There is a square peg at the bottom for attachment to a base (of a coffin, composite object, or the like).
