DescriptionBlown, urn-shaped vessel with a golden iridescent surface displays a small, round foot and short, flaring neck. Two scrolled, shell-style handles are applied to the high shoulder.
Marks Engraved "13 H L. C. TIFFANY - Favrile" on underside of base.
Provenance1999, donated by Skinner Auctioneers & Appraisers to the "Give the Arts a Chance" benefit held in conjunction with "Art in Bloom" at the MFA in April 1999; when the winner donated the vase back to the Museum, the object reverted to the Ladies Committee, who made it a gift. [September 15,1999]; February 23, 2013, deaccessioned by the MFA for sale through Doyle's, New York.
