DescriptionWoven by Templeton (Glasgow School of Art 1897-1909). Warp: cotton, 2 ply s natural alternating with brown wool. Weft: wool. Lampas; small stylized floral and leaf design in tan on dark green ground; meandering vines and light blue irises along both outer vertical borders; lower border design of four niches with tan and dark green lilies in vases against red ground. Weaver's mark woven at lower right and left corners: "T" within trefoil and triangle motif. Condition: fair. Light damage in vertical stripes resulting in color loss and fiber destruction; staining and soiling along bottom edge.
