DescriptionWarp: black silk; inner weft: purple silk; pattern weft: purple cotton. Pattern is 3" medallions with a dotted circumference and large, stylized rose pattern in purple against a black ground. Dress (b): Rounded neckline, elbow-length sleeves, and a natural waistline with 3/4" waistband. Slight shoulder padding from front to back over the shoulder. Left side zipper and snaps closure. Black silk lining. Label in right side seam near waistline. Jacket (a): Matching rounded neckline and shoulder padding; waist-length. Three-quarter length sleeves; three 1 1/2" diameter buttons made of coiled black cording. Jacket edge opposite the buttons is scalloped along the line of the medallion pattern. Black silk lining; label below neckline, center back. Label: Balenciaga. 10 rue George V, Paris. Condition: excellent.
