Notes:
[1] Possibly one M. Clement, a print dealer who worked closely with Bibliothèque Nationale de France, of 3, rue des Saints-Pères, Paris.
[2] The sale of Irwin’s collection to Morgan was arranged and brokered by Joseph F. Sabin and George H. Richmond. Though Irwin was aware of the goal of selling to Morgan, it appears that the dealers took legal possession of the collection before re-selling it.
