DescriptionThis engraving, after the fresco in the Camposanto, Pisa, was published in both editions of Alessandro da Morrona, Pisa illustrata nelle Arti del Disegno, published in 1787 and 1812. According to Hind, no contemporary impressions are known.
According to Morrona, the engraving was on the verso of the same copper plate that bore the image of Saint Jerome in Penitence, with Two Ships in a Harbor (MFA accession number P971).
