DescriptionWhite kimono printed with a mountain and lake scene using a pressing or rubbing technique known as surizome. Various shades of blue and green create patterning, upper portion of kimono uses zelkovia leaves and lower portion uses cherry blossom leaves. Interior lined in silk with hand written inscription (in Japanese) from the artist reads: "Kimono (homongi)/made by Kohakushi Kumagai/Mountain and Lake (Sanko)/silk weave (tsumugi)/surizome/Tokyo Shibuya Higashi 2-6-10."
