Black engraved with three cartouches: "Birth of Adonis" with Daphne as tree giving birth, surrounded by four winged figures and Venus, center: Venus, Adonis, and Cupid left: Venus, sleeping Adonis, Cupid, chariot in clouds and wild animals right: stylized frames: surrounded by blindfolded cupids across top on swags holding floral emblems: decorative borders. Inscribed "A. Bosse avec privilege 163VIII." Condition: left corner missing.
