DescriptionGround: cotton and linen, five pieces sewn together. Design: scalloped lower edge embroidered with scrolling bands containing flowers; scallops divide valance into nine compartments of which five to left are filled with colorful birds perched on branches (3d one is empty); three to right are filled with delicate scrolling branches bearing fruit and flowers. Worked with polychrome wools in chain stitch with a few details in French knots. Some holes and mends, black yarns rotted out.
