DescriptionTall urn with separate cover; the urn base has a circular, stepped, molded foot, a thick stem with faceted baluster shape; and is engraved "Sacred / to / the memory / of / Washington" inside a box bordered with engraved leaves, berries, flowers, and ribbons; the high-dome cover rises sharply to a faceted, tooled, and applied pointed finial.

Hall, South Hadley, Massachusetts, and placed on loan to Museum by Mrs. Hall (Sage Adams Hall); converted to gift in 2001 by Sage Adams Hall.
