DescriptionSquare central compartment with motif of two men, in profile, carrying a bar across their shoulders which supports a large grape bunch. (Caleb and Jacob returning from the Promised Land). Border of bands with Dutch names. Flanked by several rows of two and three letters. Repeating floral grouping in a basket and reindeer motives, surrounded by characteristic cross-like designs. Date apears in corner beneath a crown. Polychrome silk yarns, in various stitches, on a cream colored cotton ground. Slightly soiled.
