DescriptionRectangular ivory colored silk ground with polychrome floss silk yarns worked mainly satin stitch. Four designs in a lengthwise row; two trees flanking a partially embroidered funery monument with the initials "AB" and the date in pencil; ruined archways with foliage; an urn with a large naturalistic floral sparay; a mound with trees, a grave and the words "Auch (?) hier" on a cross. Naturalistic floral vine border with ivy and oak leaves, acorns, morning glories and other blossoms. Stained and soiled. Stitches: couching, French knot, running, satin, shaded stain, stem.
