DescriptionRectangular panel of tan linen having a central lion flanked above and below by a dragon and a peacock respectively, amidst various large scale independent flowering and leafy stalks, insects and birds. Polychrome silk yarns in variety of stitches plus metallic yarns, purl and spangles. Some raised work. Stained; missing yarns; ground worn through near center. Stitches: couching, needleweaving, satin, shaded satin, split, stem, trellis; metallic yarn stitched in couching, detached chain, plaited braid, reverse chain, threaded backstitch.
