DescriptionProbably from a valance, woman holding an ewer. Embroidered with polychrome crewels and silks on linen canvas ground. Woman in a flowing garment crouches in front of a landscape of trees, buildings, and flowers. At left, arm and part of body of a fiqure appears. Soiled, minor breaks. Braid on edges later addition. Wavy edges.
