DescriptionThe plate was etched from an upper window in Haden's house on Sloane Street, Chelsea, toward Brompton, a section of Knightsbridge.
The landscape panorana has been etched in and there is foul-biting. The clouds in the upper right are coarsely etched and there is a rain shower on the left. With the inscription by Whistler "Out of Study Window, H".
Published in Études à l'eau-forte (No.I.) The clouds in the center removed, and during printind there is some wear of drypoint. With the signature S. Haden, l.r.
