DescriptionCircular medal of Louis XVI (1754-1793), king of France.

Obverse: Profile bust of Louis XVI looking to proper left; inscribed at edge "LOUIS XVI ROI ET FRERE BIENFAISANT" and at proper left of bust "DUPRE".

Reverse: Two men standing, one at proper right giving something to man at proper left who stands before a table, covered by fleur-de-lis, supporting a crown; inscribed at edge "HOMMAGE DE TENDRESSE ET DE RECONNOISSANCE", below "DUPRE F", and in exergue "PREMICES DE LOR TIRE DES MINES D'ALLEMONT/OFFERTES AU ROI PAR MONSIEUR/M·DCCL XXXVI.".
