Korean Collection Highlights

The MFA’s collection of Korean art is one of the finest in the United States, containing more than 1,000 works ranging from the Bronze Age to the present day. It is particularly rich in decorative arts—metalwork, celadon, and lacquers—from the Goryeo dynasty (918–1392) and Buddhist paintings from both the Goryeo and Joseon dynasties (1392–1910).
