Costume Jewelry

In 2018, the MFA acquired an important collection of more than 500 examples of costume jewelry from the Toronto-based collector Carole Tanenbaum. The jewelry primarily incorporates inexpensive materials and was designed to complement the fashions of the day. This gift transformed the Museum’s already exceptional fashion jewelry collection.
