Mid-Century Modern Textiles
Furnishing textiles from the mid-20th century are patterned with some of the most dynamic designs ever produced for interiors. Their large graphic patterns suited mid-century architecture characterized by open spaces and large window expanses. The MFA’s collection includes important textiles by American, British, and Scandinavian designers from the 1930s through the 1970s, such as Ruth Reeves, Stig Lindberg, and Jack Lenor Larsen.
