An outer piece of the left ear is restored in marble. The surfaces have acquired a rich yellow patina, partly cleaned particularly around the eyes.
  Herakles wears a crown or rolled fillet, tied with ribbons, in his curly hair. There are "traces of yellow-red color on the eyes and hair."
