This straw bonnet has silk velvet ribbon trim (silk warp and pile; cotton weft), flowers and "stems" of cotton plain weave, and a silk lining. The construction of the flowers involves paper; a stem of twisted paper attaches to the cotton plain weave petals and this paper stem is wrapped with a brown plain weave cotton fabric cut on the bias so that it curls around the paper stem.</schema:description><schema:artForm>Costumes</schema:artForm><schema:width>24.1300000000 Centimeter</schema:width><schema:height>10.1600000000 Centimeter</schema:height><schema:url>http://collections.mfa.org/objects/48850/rdf</schema:url></schema:VisualArtwork></rdf:RDF>
