The back of the stone is hollowed out. Dionysus is seated to the left, holding a thyrsus in his right hand, and pouring from a ewer or pitcher in his left hand. His right leg is bent and left leg extended. He wears a garment around his legs, which wraps around his left arm. At right, a youthful looking satyr, with large flat nose and tail. Between the satyr and Dionysus, a female panther is seated, looking up at the pitcher in Dionysus' left hand and raising her right paw.
